Class 10: Unit 8; inventions and discoveries

Hello everyone,

In class today we quickly went over and role-played the two conversation models on pages 87 & 90/1. We talked about the social language and the use of conditionals in the dialogues. We personalized and roll-played them.

After that, we reviewed conditionals with a quick powerpoint worksheet.

Then we read and listened to the article about antibiotics. We answered some simple comprehension questions to check our understanding.

Next, we chose some inventions/discoveries that have had a big impact on society from the list on page 95. We discussed what life was like before and after...Then we made some 3rd conditional sentences to summarize our discussions.

After the break, we did an interview using conditionals (real and unreal). Then we finished with a critical thinking free talking activity about inventions.

Next class, we will be starting unit 10.
